Portrait of the blogger as a young nerd

The Flea has dared bloggers to post their early high school pictures. I have bravely decided to take up the challenge. Here I am, in all my glory, sometime around 1980:

I looked even worse in junior high...

Luckily, I don't have a scanner and was forced to use my digital camera to bring this stunning image to you. The bluriness has eliminated my acne and pubescent upper lip fuzz, and somehow some colour was added to my creepily pale skin tone. I think I was aiming for that stylish Adam Rich look.

I hope I'm not the only person who dares to do this.

Of course I look pretty cool now...

Damn, I really did triple-dog dare people... Ok, you da man! Now I have to phone my sister at work and see if she has our high school yearbooks kicking around. Vexed again!

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Dude....I'm gonna make that my desktop.

I haven't laughed this hard in ages.

Awesome....you have huevos as they say to put that up

You know, the more I look at this picture, the more I like it. As everyone knows, fashion goes in cycles. Don't you think it's about time for the dorky long-hair-with-no-style look to come back in vogue?

And beige corduroy is long, long overdue for a return to the runways of Paris and New York...

Actually Bruce, dorky long-hair-with-no-style is already back in vogue. Courtesy of the neverending 70s trip the fashion world seems to be on.
